Big Brother

One of the pleasures of being an educator is that you see your students grow and thrive overtime and move into all sort of jobs and social positions. But who would ever thought I would see John Bric (bottom left), a Media Student at Swinburne University here in Melbourne, in such a compromising position on such a crap show as big brother? They are now talking about axing the show all together. In some ways this isn't such a bad idea, but if our esteemed Prime Minister is saying the same thing, then it must be a bad idea.

And do a search on Google news and follow the viral coverage of the story. Check out the interview with John's dad on 'Queerplanet ' and the comments made by the Premier of Queensland on Ninemsn. Even Media Studies luminaries like Catherine Lumby have stuck their head out.

Good point: if John Howard is going on about axeing a show, then you should keep it. Though the police need to investigate this assault. I never saw it, but the description of what happened is a tad sickening.

Jack Yan said what? Is it meant to be a blank space or does your blog just break in Firefox?
